He received his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Tokyo, Master of Laws from Harvard Law School and Master of Public Policy from Columbia University's School of Public Policy and International Affairs (SIPA).After joining the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (now the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) in 1992, he served as Deputy Director-General of the Digital Agency, Director for Policy Coordination of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Assistant to the President of the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA).Appointed Managing Director from June 2024.
